Good news for Wii only owners (and Activision)
Wii owners will be getting their own Modern Warfare fix this fall, as Activision will release Call of Duty: Modern Warfare for Nintendo's best-selling platform in November, arriving day and date with Infinity Ward's Modern Warfare 2.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare will be a port of Infinity Ward's blockbuster hit Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare, originally released in 2007 on the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and PC. The Wii version of that game is planned to arrive on November 10 of this year, the same day that Modern Warfare 2 ships to retail.

Activision will announce the Wii port of the original Modern Warfare tomorrow. Call of Duty: World At War developer Treyarch will be handling development duties on the port.

Treyarch's entries in the series, Call of Duty 3 and Call of Duty: World At War, have already seen Wii iterations, with the latter moving over a million copies since its release. Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare skipped Nintendo's console in 2007, something publisher Activision seems more than happy to remedy.

Not sure what to make of it, should sell well but not as well as MW did on the 360/PS3, could be cool if Motion+ is used correctly.
 
I can't believe that said 'two year old game' is still selling at such a price!

I have been looking for a cheap copy of COD4 (xbox) to no avail! :(

Tho even i don't know what to make of this, 1st thing there is too little detail's for my liking in the press release, i mean will it have full multi player or will they cut features like waw on the wii, will it have the map packs and also will it be at a budget price?


There is still a little demand for cod4 it often makes an appearance on the UK charts so there is a little sense in this. (just a little)
 
God why. The Wii just seems to get ports from last gen, now ports of old games from this gen :confused: How many people in their right mind are actually going to play CoD on a Wii? Especially a crap CoD

A million people bought world at war so there is a market for COD on the Wii.

Surely it's going to struggle though?

Sequel to one of the best games of this generation

vs.

A (probably shoddy knowing Treyarch and the Wii) port of the last game that going by sales, nearly everyone has played.
 
No one is holding out for a 2 year old game. lol. Anyone that is into games has already played or is still playing MW. I really can't think of anyone except the mini game casual players that will buy this for the Wii.

Kinda dirty how they're releasing this the same day as the new one. Trying to get the ignorant to buy it thinking its the new one. :/

If they include MP then i "might" buy it , even tho i already have it for xb360 and pc id be interested to see how the wii controlers handle a proper FPS :)
 
Would be better if they just did a COD:MW but on a different story line which connects in somewhere. It will be radically different in each way that trying to be the same will come off worse..if that makes sense.

Oh and dont bother with motion+, i dont see how that would help this game.

I suppose some people only own a wii as their main console and don't have a decent enough pc will buy it, let them crack on with it.
