COD:MW3 or BF3 ??

Couldn't agree more tbh.

I've got MW3 and BF3, and it depends on my mood as too what I want to play. If I want quick action with a lot of fragging then it's MW3. If I want more tactical game play where you can get a good squad together and have an epic 500 ticket round of conquest, then BF3 all the way.

But as above, the original COD4 is still the best one.

MW3 isn't that good because there's no dedicated servers, it picks hosts like consoles which I hate, and you get a lot of douchebags on there complaining about campers and calling them noobs. Half these kids have probably never played a game competitively before and if they had they would realise sometimes you have to camp to defend objectives and a good player knows how to outsmart the campers.

BF3 is for me a little frustrating because it's more tactical and you can benefit a hell of a lot if people do simple things like use squad perks and work together. But people tend not to do those two things, get greedy trying to get kills all the time because everyone wants to rank up and get XP a lot faster all because equipment upgrades take a fair amount of time to get. And that greed leads to lone rangers which take out some of the tactical pleasure of the game.

Its not so much Origin thats the problem - if its not on Steam these days I don't play it simple as, my life is complicated enough without the hassle of needless individual downloader/client platforms for different games.

IIRC MW3 has dedicated server support but it doesn't let you rank up the same, etc. so no one really bothers with it.

I guess MW3 would be best for me as about 90% of the time i normally play single player games..
 
I haven't got BF3 but what I heard is that its crap online and the maps are bad as for MW3 I have it on ps3 its a decent game that you can kill sometime with and as you get better it gets much more fun however only get it on PC as you will hear annoying kids on ps3 and xbox.
 
I normally get away with run 'n gun on BF3, but that's due to the other team not knowing what they're doing either :p.

At end of the day, its down to what type of games you like to play.

Erm. How do you know MW3 is more fun to play when you haven't played BF3?

Battlefield 3 is one of the few online games of recent years that has actually kept me interested longer than a couple of hours.

They're totally different games really, the MW community is far more into team deathmatch style games, with essentially the only goal being to shoot other people.

BF3 is focussed far more on team oriented objective gameplay (although has deathmatch) involving tanks, jeeps, helicopters, jets, anti air etc.

I would say both good at what they do but tbh I don't actually think the MW games are a patch on old school deathmatch games :p
 
I spend equal time on cod 4 and bf3. MW3 is crap just like any recent. Ranking up is not a reason to enjoy it. Neither is getting killstreaks. I got bored of it within a few hours.
COD has lost is simplicity and turned into some sort of mess. That's kind of why I like promod mix game types as it's just gun on gun.

I think bf3 offers a lot of fun. You can do all sorts. Like driving jeeps with c4 into tanks.

Where did you hear that from.
BF3 is a solid shooter,even more so when there is a few of you in teamspeak and in squads,although i hate it when people lock squads that are not full.

I shall get mw3 when its like £5 just for single player,do people use guns in cod anymore,allways seems a knife fest nowdays.:eek:
 
I have both and initially I was blown away by BF3 I couldn't stop singing it's praises but now I'm finding that COD is just more fun, been playing MW3 but lately I've gone back to Black Ops because it just feels better especially the guns.

Not that BF3 is bad it just asn't got the instant fun or quick blast factor :)
