Bit of a silly thread really and its not actually COD against a coupon, but a COD vs COD question.

What I have is a 25 pound coupon for a high street game shop.... now as ive been waiting for Steam to list a COD game cheaply and not having success as yet, im thinking of spending my coupon on either of the CODs 4 or MW2... so whats worth getting for the casual gamer?

I had and played COD4 on the 360 for probably 8 months and although I liked it, I know it dosent compare at all to the PC version because of pad vs mouse etc.... so its COD4 the place to play online? Or should I get the new one as its likely to have longevity and more players?

New one doesn't have dedicated servers so only have 18 people max in a game. Old COD4 has up to 48 people in a server, much more fun imo.

Gameplay is pretty much the same in both.

After a lot of people complaining about mw2 iwnet I have found it isn't really that bad. I usually get pings of around 50 to 80ms and I have a poor internet connection. But, contrary to 'Showboat' I prefer smaller games. All down to preference really.

Get MW2, granted IWNet is an utter crock and should be killed off as soon as possible, but once you are in a game it's still a good laugh. Far better suited to casual gaming as apposed to clan gaming (shame, as it's the latter that I'd rather be doing).

The community is full of life, and you should get decent longevity out of it if CoD2 and CoD4 are anything to go by.

the shop retail MW2 has to be added to steam anyway..;)

If you were a clan gamer, I'd say COD4, however, being a casual gamer, you should get MW2 as it's far more geared towards you.

IWNET is absolutely horrid but when it actually works, the game is quite good.
