Basically, my Call of Duty 2 game is jerky every now and then for 1 - 3 seconds.

This has only started happening since I have changed my PC case.

Could the Headphone Jack and Microphone Jack that came already on the case, conflict with my onboard sound so it makes COD2 jerky every now and then?

Is it worth trying COD2 with the case Headphone/Microphone Jack unplugged from the Motherboard to eliminate this?

Thanks

Ive had game problems when ive run my sound card at 96hz so see if its set at that and if it then set it to 48mhz

I dont have a sound card mate

I have onboard sound and also sound/mic jacks on my PC case which connect to the Motherboard.

How can I change them to 48mhz?

Thanks

In the control panel and have a look under 'sound, speech and audio devices', whatever software controls your onboard sound should be around there somewhere.
If its not there then have a look in 'all programs' for the software that runs the onboard sound, have a look at the settings.
