COD2 Crash

Hi guys, finally found my copy of COD2, installed it and patched it to v1.3.

Now i can play the game for about 20 mins then it will freeze with the sound looping, normally a dull errrrrrr sound which forces me to restart my pc.

I have the latest gfx drivers and sp2 and my spec is in my sig.

Any ideas?
