I got this for the PC and its runs crap on my system, specs below.

I have an xbox 360 and borrowed COD2. It really amazes me what Microsoft have done with this machine. COD2 runs great on the 360, nearly 60fps all the time, sound is great in my living room and looks virtually the same as the PC. I can power my 360 on with the pad and be playing in about 15 seconds. I have a core system and it cost just £209!!

Anyone still on the fence with the 360, dont, just get one.

I was going to get Oblivion for the PC as I loved Morrowind but I have just preordered it on the 360 now. I can play on the sofa with my plasma sceen, great.

Stunning machine, sorry just had to get it off my chest :D
 
To think you could sell your graphics card alone for about the same price as a Core and it will run CoD2 better!
 
The ATI X800 isn't as powerful as the Xbox360 though, he's talking about GPU's that are, i.e. the 7800GTX et al.

Personally I didn't enjoy Call of Duty 2 on the PC at all, my mate got it on his Xbox360 and I loved it, infact, it's the most rewarding game I've played since Max Payne 2. I actually preferred the Xbox360 controller to mouse and keyboard for that game.
 
aye bay is tosh though bunch of retards assuming its the cheapest around just because its the first stop shop on the internet.

I didnt like playing with the controller at first. Now I prefer it. Its such a great experience laid on the sofa with a cordless pad playing COD2 instead of hunched over the PC.

Surprisingly the controller is very good even for FPS games. I used to be an avid mouse & keyboard player but since playing Q2 & Q4 on the X360 I don't have any trouble playing with a controller.

Oh how very, very true! This is the main reason i prefer playing the 360 - laying back on my bed sniping people on COD2 on my 40" LCD TV...people dont see me outside much these days :D

Gameplay using the controller is just as good as a keyboard/mouse - for me anyway.

You are so wrong it's laughable. Call of Duty 2 is far better with the Xbox360 pad than with the mouse because it felt more rewarding. And this is from someone who has played PC FPS's at a high level before.

Nokkon speaks the truth, 12years of PC Gaming with mouse and keyboard and I fully agree with him.
 
COD 2 is argubly the 360's finest hour yet, I think PGR 3 just beats it, but it's still my favourite FPS on any platform.

The controller works brilliantly with this game.
 
Another one here who thinks COD2 on 360 is awesome. And the controls are spot on, which is what makes it so good.

With a bit of practice and decent coding from the developer console FPS's are at least as good as their PC counterpart, if not better.

Musn't forget how important the "feel" is. That's why I'm selling PDZ because I just couldn't get it to feel right. But COD2 is spot on.

I totally agree, PD0 doesn't feel great, but I will no be selling it as I feel it's a good game hampered only by controls, if it had the controls of CoD it would be one of the best FPS's ever I feel.

Plus, it's a bloody laugh online. Really enjoyable going for headshots!

shame we couldnt go 1 on 1 controller vs mouse.. :P ya just simply can not aim as quickly using a controller.....
