Playing through the game on veteran and just completed D-Day! (I really felt the need to stand on the roof and shout; indulge me ;) )

Next on to Caen.

My gawd that was a tough experience; there were some moments I really thought I was beat. A real step change from what had gone before. Tell me it gets easier from now on, and D-Day was a blip. Please. :)

I played it straight through on Veteran, great game. There are some annoying bits but nothing really tough.

Gun on insane difficulty is considerably more annoying.

GUN on any difficulty is annoying on the Xbox360 :P. Nah, actually it's a decent game, I just can't get used to it, preferred it on the PC.

Nah it wasn't a day. More like 3? To be honest I can't remember but it definately wasn't a day, even I'm not mad enough to do that :p

yea i've just got d-day to do or hill400 i cant remember which
have to say the AI are a waste at veteran level, most of the time they sit shooting and i have to move to a new section for them to move forward. which usually ends in me dying.

I did a few levels in vet but have to agree that my team AI got me killed a lot more then normal. I found Vet too hard on one of the russian maps where I was pinned down in a half torn down building for ages. I kept killing the enemies and they kept respawning all the time!

Currently playing through it on Hard and have reached Hill 400 so far. My disc is cracked atm so I won't be able to play for a while until the replacement arrives.

I have just completed in on Veteran and the battle at the top of Hill 400 is crazy, That has to been the hardest level I have completed, took me all last night and most of this morning.

Really does give you a sense of achievement though as I havent really ever completed anything on the hardest setting, the achievements system is a good way of challenging yourself.

I am currently playing through it again in the Hard setting and so far its going ok. Its a cracking game although there are some annoying points, especially if you get killed just after a auto save point. When it reloads you basically die again. (This occurred most on the tank mission).

Just taken the HQ on Caen and have to say I nearly threw the controller through the window a few times. Twice I got killed upstairs after clearing the ground level and that was just for starters.

Now you got to be kidding me that I still have the hardest part to go ;) lol ... really looking forward to Hill 400 now ;)

I had loads of those in veteran mode. there were some where I had to instantly turn and shoot 3 perfect shots, just to keep myself from being mowed down by 3 germans behind me or similar. And it would always, without fail be just before a particularly hard bit.

hill 400 was a bloody effort for me (well my guy anyway) I actually found the begining of the last level and the middle of the last level the hardest parts of the game (mostly due to a savege amount of bad luck)

A lot of people have complaied about the silo mortar sniping in Veteran but I loved that bit.

Its amasing the Allies won the war when I look at the comrades I had in fighting. Stupid, unhelpful, never covering my flanking movements, couldnt hit a bar door at 2 paces, not taking the bullets for me, not shooting the enemy standing infront of you, always running into my bullets, standing in my way so I get blown-up/shot sobs. (and thats the good ones). I'm so glad there were no "Keep biggs alive" missions. I would have topped myself if there were.

Just finished the D-Day and man was that tough. The first level took hours before I worked out a safe route, and even then a lot of it was sheer luck rather than skill.

The Silo mission wasn't as bad as what I've read, took about an hour to get through it all.

About to start on the Prisoner of War level. Wish me luck, I might not be back for breakfast.
