COD4: 2 Questions...

I've never done it before in a game, but i actually fancy starting it again right away on a harder setting... normally this is what i'd do after maybe a year but i just can't get enough!

when i finally clocked the corridor bit, it was all to do with an initial well placed grenade launcher blast, followed by some fast accurate M4A1 Sopmod (this is the best gun i've ever used in an FPS! - can't seem to get it in the MP mode tho?) action... then push up... always push forward and the boys will follow...

but yeah to get the checkpoints be quick ;)

noooooooooooooooooooooooo! When playing COD4 (especially) its best to forget you have anyone in your squad. Assume your on your own. From what I can remember in the NFITWR level they are useless anyway.

My advice for that level: Use a guide to find out where all the checkpoints are and what times they appear at. Aim to get to the fast as possible so see the checkpoint message and keep trying until you get every single checkpoint. I really don't see many people being able to do the latter parts of that level without checkpoints, as its just plain evil in places.

right, i will bow to your superiority as i only did in so far in normal mode (due to it being my first console fps and i didn't have much confidence without a kb/mouse)

i'll bear that in mind next time round on veteran if i can get there :)

Thought you were on vet anyways. All i was saying is don't relay on your team mates as they do bugger all in that mode.

No need to bow down to me or anything (not sure why you would want to in the first place, but i digress)???????????

2) is it me or is the bit 15 years previous (when you and your captain are all cammo'd up) one of the best fps sequences yet to grace the gaming world... i though it was absolutely amazing :)

Yep the music and the lighting were both totally spot on, I wish that bit had went on for longer. Instead you had to fluke your way past 60+ enemies.

Gunna try NFITWR again soon. Thing is I ditched my M4 for a G36c :o

Just had a few goes of MHC, 1st bits easy, it's just when I get up the stairs it's instakill every bloody time. Think I'll give it a rest for a while.

gotta make appropriate use of the FBs in mile high

and second time killer is the reload. i usually find its easier to start with a pistol then switch to auto weapon when the going gets tough. Reload your guns on the bits inbetween so your not wasting any time reloading.

depends what difficulty he's playing on. Hardened and below you have enough time to kill everything and still make it to the end. On veteran you need to lob x1 FB into every room you go into.

Personally i found it was easier to kill the minimum number of people or just stunning them with a quick burst (you squad IS actually of use in this level as long as you move forward, they won't move past you, just with you) - this will save you a lot of time as iirc it takes a good 4 seconds to reload.

Same, I usually run out of time up there.

I find that at the first bit emptying the mp5 then pistol and then swapping pistol for one of the P90s helps no end. Have to make sure the p90 guy dies in the right place though.

Its just that bit upstairs. I think I panick lol

Done it! :D Teabags all round!! :p

Thank **** that's out the way!

For anyone whose struggling, this video helped a lot, by far the best way of doing it imo, I got to the doors with 8 seconds left.

I did think he was a bit slow downstairs, he seemed lucky upstairs.

I should try he route though, I go down the middle of the room then right into the second room downstairs.
