I don't get why the host doesn't get an artificial amount of lag added in 360 online games though, it's such a simple method of resolving host advantage.
So few consoles games you can actually play competitively nowadays because of unfair advantages like above. It's quite depressing really to see everything catered towards casual players.
I guess this will soon mark the turn back to PC gaming.

Yeah thats not a bad idea. Search and destroy really shows it up sometimes. After you die you can see your team mate get a clear headshot in first yet he still dies. Or you get round a corner and drop dead when you have made it to safety.
The other day on wet work I was firing shots at nothing to gain attention and shot someone that wasn't even there when I started shooting.

Yeh. That's why I never see fps on Live as anything more than a bit of fun with mates - which is fine. But when it comes to competitive play it has to be on a dedicated server, which means pc. I'd like this to change.
'What y'all on about, all out connections are 4 bars'
'No, we're on about OUR connections to the one of you thats host'
Yanks dont know how the internetz work, fact.
I hope they do something, I played COD2 the other day online and i noticed the player list in game lists the players ping. Helpful for deciding how far ahead of a running man you need to shoot
Are you really surprised? It stands to reason that as the host, you don’t need to worry too much about lag associated problems; hit detection for example.
