COD4 MP Live arranging thread

His sniping with the Deagle is awesome. As Dan said, he used the sniper to see someone on wetwork, then got the Deagle out and shot him on the other side of the map!

Leathal lol

I don't even know how he doesn't die rushing in, I always end up getting exploded by random frags.

I think his brain is a supercomputer, can work out exactly where people are gonna be, timing of grenades and likely positions they will be camping in. Seems to work as when you watch him when your dead he just seems to know exactly where to go:cool:

Was good fun tonight, thanks for having me along, did ok in parts but it's a whole new ball game compared to TDM. A few loose grenades ended up in a couple of TK's wooooops. :) On the whole though Hardcore S&D was good fun, even my mate commented on it and he gets really agro on COD4.

Can't wait to play again, much more fun playing with people who talk normally heh.

Yeah you'll soon get used to it, it is quite hard to get used to not having a map on the screen at first but you will soon come to prefer it as it is a lot more tactical. Well unless you're called Oneshot in which case you just run at people with a deagle. :D

Lol, yeah I don't understand how a lot of you do it. I also need to create some more classes as my ones were from my old stuff. Any tips on what to have/not have.

Claymores is a certain perk for S&D, it allows you to control the map better by covering certain paths so you can concentrate on others and stay active when you die.

Stopping power is useless, most guns will kill first time from medium range.

I like Dead silence as hardcore relies heavily on sound and footsteps but some maps extreme conditioning is more useful to get to the choke points faster.

Overkill for flexiblilty or UAV jammer and a silencer if you want to play ghost.

Guns in this game are like characters in MarioKart, there are no bests, just what suits you betters.

I like stopping power on my G3 setup to ensure oneshot kills. Also no UAV jammer allows you set claymores and you being on the radar is bait. They always run at you straight into your claymores.

Sniping is vital to have a UAV IMO, and smoke for cover is useful on a lot of maps.

Extreme conditioning is a favourite too. Gets you around the map faster and you can get into position quicker, you do lose the option of Dead silence and last stand though.

Claymores are for my sniping and long range defending setups. When attacking on some maps i like to use P90 as you can run for ages and combine with bomb squad, you can really get around the map fast with no need to check for claymores

Quite enjoying S&D now. Before I hated it but I'm not doing as badly as I was. Would like to mix it up every now and then to rank my weapons up with some HQ or Domination.

Not that it matters too much in 6 weeks or so it's back to the start again with COD5.

Its a bit of a shame in 12 months there has only been one map pack.

That's pretty cool, though I noticed a lot less need for UAV Jammer, I usually play silenced mp5/AK as a ghost with UAV jammer, but it's a whole different game on this. M16 with it's burst fire suits me great though. I did like how when dying you can still get the last kill with a claymore from earlier :D

Definitely hate iron sights though, not my most favourite way of shooting, I like red dot.

I'm not looking forward to cod5, back to WW2 I've definitely enjoyed the modern game a lot more. But I'm sure it will be good all the same.

With any mode your claymores stay till you respawn. Obviously on Hardcore SD you dont respawn though so they stay

My box is back, was hoping for a replacement but they've fixed it. Deffo quieter on idle too :D

Im gonna wait and see what WaW playes like before making any assumptions, wasnt it you Danny who said COD4 would be soon put away once R6V2 came out? :P

It was me, R6V is a better game than COD4, the only reason COD is better is because the lobby system is 100 times better and easier than R6.

R6 or any ubisoft game is better supported than COD.

The perfect game still needs to be made, COD's lobby and matchmaking, Ubisofts future support extra maps game types etc and Halo3's forge/video picture facilities.

TBH if I load up GRAW and play that in MP the game is better than COD4, its just a damn ballache to get a game. It can take 20 or so minutes to finally get in a stable lobby.

Ubisoft have a lot to learn from COD in that repect.

Edit and your better off getting the old box back anyway, all your DLC XBLA games etc are tied to that console. Saves the hassle and you have the same warranty.

To be honest all that stuff is add on which changes the dynamics of a products value.

COD has 20 maps, regardless of the DLC support or not and the way a game plays is where i base my preferences. COD4 and its engine has that licked IMO, the reason it is so popular is nothing to do with its lobby. but the gameplay. Would be nice to do vids ala Halo though.

Just fancied a replacement for HDMI, warranty is up in Jan09 Si? When did you by it?
