COD4 MP Live arranging thread

Says the first one to go :p

At 2am Me and Faded were working out how that guy managed to get above the fence and shoot me last night, was on the other side of the one near the 3 storey house on Crash. :p

Seems like he climbed up the chopper, along the rotor blade, jumped onto the fence and then walked to the stone wall. Git!

I'm still trying to get over the fact you killed me by sitting and cooking a grenade in front of me on Vacant. :( And then it finished 10-0 on kills :D

Good games again last night yet again.
Might have to try that little spot I showed you on Pipeline last night next time we play S&D.

Won't be around tonight so will see you all tomorrow from about 7.30

Oh and Si, had a quick go on COD2 last night and loved it. :)

Owned :p

I'm gonna wean myself off the sniper I think. M16 is much better -even at distance. The main problem is you can't see anyone, maybe I should try the ACOG M16. Compromise of both i guess.

I use the M16 with ACOG exclusively on S&D unless I feel I need something a little faster in which case its the p90 all the way.

I like having a go with the sniper rifle but I am so crap with it its just not worth it. I may have a practice on normal team deathmatch.

Yeah, it seems most of our team uses the M16. There are certain maps I like using SMG's on though, like Chinatown and District, I find a silenced or red dot AK74u or MP5 works great for them.

Quick couple of questions for everyone on things that were bought up in general chat last night:

1. What size TV does everyone use? (And brands - seeing as I'm thinking of upgrading)

2. What sensitivity level do you use?

Samsung 40" M86 but regularly play in 4:3 rather than widescreen as i just cant focus on the entire game, ie score, nades, maps and vision in wide as i like to sit quite close.

Sensitivity 6 - I found thats the best for SP when i did my FNG time.

I thought I was at 6 too, seems Im now at 4 though.

Too low and you simply cant move the gun fast enough when looking down the sight.

I play with a Phillips 32" that i sit about 1 meter from on the floor of my lounge on a bean bag. Eyes are level with the bottom of the screen and i tend to lie back. Feels different to sitting on a chair looking at a 17" monitor like i do sometimes at my parents when I go back for the weekend sometimes.

I think 32" is the max size i would want to play on sitting that close, anymore and you have to turn your head.

Input lag is another thing if you are that serious.

Should answer myself I suppose:

1. Saumsung 26" - sitting about 1 metre from the screen

2. Default (I think its 2? - Am gonna try upping it though as I agree that its far too slow when 'aiming down the sights')

24 inch monitor which my eyes are about a metre from. I dont need to pan and I can see smaller movements. I have a 37 and a 32 inch screen as well but I have to sit so far back to stop panning that I need to play with my contacts in, so I dont bother.

I have sensitivity set to default.

Wiggis and I just played a headquarters on Creek, the other team literally never even came for the headquarters when we won them.

One kid then moaned in the lobby because Wiggis and I were top with kills with about 4, yet we won.

Wiggis told him the aim of the game was to win and get HQ's he says "yeah but I got 21 kills and 205 points"

Wiggis replied "well I got 325 points 4 kills and won the game"

The poor kid didn't seem to get the math. :D

32" Samsung HDTV, mounted on the wall, I sit on the sofa about 1.5 - 2 meters back.
I find this is ok, but I would like a bigger screen.

Sensitivity set to high I think. I need to rethink this as its too fast when firing from the hip but not fast enough down the sights.

Those games with Danny were good, although I was using the M14, which was impossible with the iron sights. Little better with red dot, I can see it being useful for medium range maps because of the high damage, but on long range maps it was still impossible to use because the recoil was so bad.
