COD4 MP Live arranging thread

So... Faded and I spent about an hour the other day tweaking our Samsung Tv's trying to get the best display. Happy enough as I am I am unable to recreate the level of detail I have seen online of other dispays.

I was wondering if anyone else on here, who has a samsung or otherwise, has come accross a really good setup that looks really sharp and detailed.

At the moment I am running at 1080i (recently changed from 720p, I think Faded went the other way)

Does anyone 'in the know' about Samsung tv's know about some 'extra' settings that we may have missed?
 
i just have a rubbish accoustic solutions 26 inch,i sit like 2 foot away from screen while playing cod4.I just bought a 32 inch lcd made by vistron,got it today but it came without a remote and power lead,i managed to get it to work but there was only sound down one side of the tv so that is going back lol.I wanted a sammy but cant realy afford one,i might go for one of those hanspree tvs.
 
i just changed from a component connection to a VGA on my 42 toshiba and the difference is very clear. Ev erything is so much sharper, the component seemed to give everything a sort of haze.
 
you guys kept playing domination last night,realy hate domination and HQ now.All i end up doing is running a mile then getting shot lol.hardcore TDM and S&D is so much better,but i had a spell the other night where every nade always would fall straight at my toes.

I just changed from VGA to HDMI and the difference is like going from component to VGA :p

/Which/ samsung TV? They're all vastly different and you'll use very different settings on even slightly different models.

I often find myself shooting at my own team because the name is too slow to show up when I've got my sights over them. Team killing wasnt a problem for me though because I didnt play much hardcore.

I think it would be better if it had some kind of call sign that you can enter e.g. a letter followed by 2 numbers like Halo 3 has and it would show up where ever your team mate goes, or even just display the clan tag.

Too often I find myself not being able to tell who is who especially on the darker maps.
 
Well play Halo with Kreeeee you will soon grow out of that habbit :p Any betrayals on him and he kicks you out first chance he gets...
 
Im a fan of my VGA connection on my 40M87 Samsung. HDMI is far sharper but I an older Premium console. I quite like the softening effect of VGA though, cheap AA :p
 
Thanks for the games and I promise not to throw any more grenades since all I do is kill my own team :p I even managed to get vaultingslinky over the otherside of the map...
