I'm not on tonight - have enjoyed some of the last few nights.

To be honest only us lot who play use this thread now and the choice of TV is key to our gameplay :p

If there's a bright static image for a long time I'll get a bit of retention, but it's away in a few seconds/minutes. When I first started using the screen I was scared stiff of retention/burn. It really is something you quickly forget about once you own a plasma for a time. I am still very careful not to leave it on a static image overnight, but have no issues with pausing live TV for an hour, or leaving a game in a menu for the same time now. Fantastic TV.

Its crazy some nights we are on til gone two. The first couple of night's I blagged the mrs that when I was crawling into bed I'd just gone for my old man mid sleep wee. Now she just gives me a knowing frown :D

I then get up about 11 and have a browse of the forums to see some of these guys have been up a few hours already. I'm hoping the COD WaW games start a a little earlier.

Thanks a lot for that :) I'm going to pop into town next week with a 360 and ask to demo a couple of sets.

One thing I'd say is that most people use very low contrast and brightness settings for the first 200 hours. The gases burn really hot when they are first used, so it's more prone to retention/burn then. That's what I did. It really is a fantastic TV. I owned a 40" 1080P Series 5 Samsung LCD and it was really woeful when watching TV. It was fine for the 360 though. If you want to watch movies/TV and play games, I cannot see past a plasma. The Panasonic plasmas are the best value for money screens.

With plasma, you can get some phosphor trails when panning high contrast images. I used to notice it in COD4 in one area when I panned very quickly. Haven't noticed it recently though. It is not something that affects enjoyment though.
 
Danny, everyone will always make out what they have is best, it's human nature.

Best thing is definately seeing them yourself - in action.

for some reason i cant find games when I'm searching by myself, so the only way to play would be by joining one of my friends. dose anyone else have this issue

Yeah, same one, took me ages to find too... can't remember where I got it in the end. Great desk though, plenty of room :D

4... Gear of War 2 has just been dispatched... I don't mean to ignore you, but I have soooo much to do... besides, you're all going to ignore me when that pansy excuse for a sequel to CoD4 comes out. :(

I'm really looking forward to that, continuing to be able to chat when I'm dead. I hate that with S and D. Your chatting about x and y someone gets killed and you realise your chatting to yourself.
