I play COD4 over 2 computers and I want to know if/how to copy the stats over from one PC to another, I dont want instant 55 I just want to keep up with my progress, anyone have any ideas on how I can do this?

Cheers.

Hmm I found this via google but that folder doesnt exist for me? :/ (vista64)
1. Open up Windows Explorer and Navigate to the following folder:

C:\Program Files\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\Players\Profiles
(Or the appropriate directory where Call of Duty 4 was installed to)

2. Choose the profile of the stats you want to save by opening up the corresponding folder and copy the file named "mpdata" to a safe location. This file holds all your stats, ranks and custom kits etc.

3. Now that your "mpdata" file is safe, when you next have to re-install simply load up the game once it is installed simply copy and paste the "mpdata" file back into your profile folder. This should then restore your rank, stats and custom kits from when the "mpdata" file was last backed up.

-Start
-My computer
-Local disk (hardrive you installed your game on)
-Program files
-Avitivision
-Call of duty modern warfare
-Players
-Profiles
-Copy/paste your profile

When I do that it says ''an error occurred reading mp data'' , your stats may have been lost, and it creates a new clean mp profile .

I've copied the stats from my xp install to my vista now 4 times and each time it keeps resetting them once i fire it up .

Here's my problem: it always happens when I try to move my mpdata :

Please help I don't want to start all over again in Vista.

You using the same key on both PCs? I do the same as you due to using the PC in the house, but my laptop at my mates. Copy the file mpdata. Do you have the same profile name too? Not sure if it matters but its worth checking.
