CoD4 MW2 cant find any games

Hi guys

basically my Cod4 MW2 doesn't find any games, i have to leave it on until it goes past 130 ping and then says searching for games, then it FINALLY finds one, takes about 5-10 minutes.

My NAT status is: Open

why is it doing this and how can i fix it??

Yeah same for me, used to be the case it would just take ages but now it not doing it at all. It will merge lobbies and the kick everyone out :(
 
Are there many people still playing it, thought everyone had moved to Black Ops and Battlefield Bad Company and left the hackers behind. If few people left too hard for the match making to get a group together with decent pings I expect.
 
Go into internet options and un tick all the boxes on the ICS page (Internet Connection Sharing) its all on the 'Sharing' tab I think.
 
When I try it I get the exact same issue. What I have found works is if you let it go up to say 100ms, then change, to say, tdm, let it go to 100, then change to the mode you actually want. On like the 3rd-4th attempt, as it counts up, it will then start showing, finding x games out of y. When it starts that I get into games straight away even after a lost lobby etc.

The switching between game modes is a bit of a pain mind.


NB, I dunno if you need to change game modes, I just do it, I suppose it prolly work, if you just close the game mode and then try it again. Important bit though is you gota come out of the searching for games bit, then re click whatever game type you want, otherwise it just counts all the way up to daft pings.

its a headache, can't be doing that everytime i want a game, there has to be a solution surely???
 
BUMP: im still getting this problem when i want to play MW2

it never finds any games, how do i fix this.
 
Exactly the same here, it's probably because no one plays it. It was a rubbish game due the the fact it was full of hackers.
 
Plenty of people playing it - but the lobby system is retarded... doesn't take more than 5 minutes usually but it can take upto 5 minutes for it to properly start finding games - once its properly finding games tho it will continue to until you quit.

(IIRC someone said if you start a private game and sit in it for 2-3 minutes then go back to the gametype you want it works properly?)

Lobby and cheating are the real problems with the game really... once you finally get on a game with a decent host, no one cheating (small miracle) its a pretty decent game really.
