Because the single player part of the game was amazing. So people will still pirate it purely for the single player aspect as that should still be very good. I was only going to get this for the multiplayer side though and i cant see buying it with peer2peer. The 8v8 doesnt bother me as that could easily be changed and will be later on.
hmmm BFDC2 is one of the major release for 2010, if I was DICE I would do the same to gain popularity and grab the headline as much as possible.
I know I won't be buying cod mw2, £40 for 10-15 hrs of sp gameplay that's a rip off to me. I've never played sp mission in cod mw but I've clocked 100+ hours in mp = )
No doubt, the people who boycotted the game will buy game later on when the game only cost £10 and beside is not hard to pirate games these do day.
I am reading through the IW forums at the moment. They really need to or the sales of the game are really, really going to suffer.
I will buy the PC version in the hope that eventually they will change it. Not holding my breath though.

Here's another thing actually for you to consider, why if there is no problem have Infinity Ward put a stop to anybody registering on their own forums? They don't want to read people's views. They KNOW what they've done is idiotic. If they'd done the intelligent thing and added matchmaking that takes you to a dedicated server this would be a much different story (and I for one would not be included in the complaining.

I'd be more interested in COD pc version now.

Why are you in a thread posting about the subject if you are not interested in it?
I will probably get it but not until someone gets fed up with it and i can pick up 2nd hand. Until then i will play my mates ps3 lol
You talk about dead heads but you need your hand held for choosing servers with less players when that option for less players has always been there.

We like having the option of more players. Also 8v8 is a perfect number, but very few home connections will support up to 8v8. Most will probably struggle with 8 players.
If they had done what they've done and actually implemented dedicated servers for consoles as well as PCs, we'd be laughing, but no...
I might be wrong, but isn't MW2 going to be on steam?
Therefore, no second hand sales? So full price or nothing.
