COD4 MW2 MAX PLAYER COUNT 8V8

I was going to login to their forums and express my disgust, but meh, cba now.

I was a member of the original cod/uo community, and played a part in the cod2 furore that sparked off. I remember 402 joining in the aftermath as the community liason person, all the promises...

But now, meh.. dont have time to waste worrying about what might have been. The game won't get purchased - they can decorate it up all they want about "not losing sales" but they've lost mine, and i'm sure others. There will be others games to enjoy, and I no longer feel the PC gaming community will mourn the death of IW and the Call of Duty series (cos this WILL be the last, whatever the outcome).

I like 16 - 20 man server, Whats the problem?

No match servers, no match mods, no community mods, laggy p2p system.

So your happy to pay £35 or whatever for a few hours of single player? I wouldn't buy it for single player if it was £10.

For me COD4 was amazing value for money.

Also I personally like 8v8, but no dedi servers makes it pointless, I complain about lag enough as it is, I don't know why some people bother trying to play in a server when their ping is 150.

I highly doubt that, seen as how integral multiplayer is to most games these days. Sad fact is that anyone who knows how messed up the lifespan of this game has become wihtout dedi servers will just pirate it for the SP. Then IW will say 'Ha look at all the pirates, our decisions were justified!'.

Personally some wily company will slip in and fill the big MW gap with a decent game. MW3 which be purely consoles and we'll all be playng the next big thing, having forgotten this debacle like most people have already forgotten OPF2 (judging by the sales charts).

No I will be buying it on the ps3, but to the guy above whether it's worth £35 for 6-10hours of single player is your choice, I know max payne 2 certainly was. Pirating just shouldn't be on the agenda at all.
 
We had a clan in CoD1 and UO with our own dedicated server- was so much fun.

All of you telling people to be quiet and stop whinging I really can't see your point:

I mean in CoD 4 if you want to play 8v8 the option is right there with dedi server and hence less lag. All those people who wanted 32 player also had it. Its not getting better for 8v8 fans, its just getting worse for 32 player fans- why get annoyed that we feel let down by IW? Hopefully a few more people will come back to Cod1- its still fun and it could do with a few more people on it.

No whinging is fine. I've done a fair bit of it if you check my recent posts. But pirating the game is not fine, and pirating out of spite is childish. Yes it sucks that they messed up the multiplayer. But it still has a fantastic single player element (hopefully) which has had a lot of money and time spent developing it, therefore it's worth money and shouldn't be pirated.

You've gone from the man i disagreed with (albeit due to a complete misinterpretation on my part) to a man of my own heart.
