cod4 performance

does anyone find that cod4 runs like a bloddy dog, i would expect better from my system, can anyone shed any light on tweakng/any way of improving fps.

What the hell is a paxpower PSU?

EDIT: Oh it's an Akasa. Is 400w enough?

PS The game runs remarkably well on systems much worse.

I would recommend it, yes. Only keep a back up of your saves. Come back if it's still naffed up.

If find it runs smooth as silk and hardly ever dips below 60fps for me with 2xaa and 4xaf and all in game options set high as possible. I do run at 1360x768 though on my HD TV.
