CoD4 problem

I can't seem to play CoD4 SP.
Everything installed fine, MP works perfectly, the game is fully up to date etc, the problem is when I try & play SP it asks me for the DVD even though the DVD is in the drive. The only other games I actually play at the moment are UT3 (which doesnt need the DVD) & Crysis online which works perfectly. I've thought about using a nocd but there isn't a 1.5 version out (also dont wanna talk about them cos the thread will get locked).

Does anyone have any suggestions? The disk is in perfect condition, not a mark on it so I can't understand why it's acting like this.

Is it patched to the latest version? Have you installed in the default directory?

Yes
No, it is installed on 'G' not 'C' but this wouldnt make a difference because when I first got the game it worked, I have only recently decided to go back to the SP campaign, I have even tried reinstalling the game :confused:

Apparently the patch can cause issues if you installed it to a non-default location. Check the config files, make sure they're pointing in the right place.
