COD4 saves

were are the saved games for COD4 stored, the save folder in the cod4/main dir is empty, but i checked and it has stored my saved game.... somewere

Browse though C:\Users

I'm on vista 64bit with uac turned on and mine is stored in

C:\Users\michael\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\Progra m Files (x86)\Activision\Call of Duty 4 - Modern Warfare\players\profiles\Lunix

you can go into the above and save the mp file onto a pen drive say,and then load it back in after the format and it will be ok mp data that is

Well I formatted my pc the other week after reaching 18 so I was gutted when I loaded up the online game and had to start all again

OK well I back it up every night now anyhow

i was playing cod4 on my old computer, built my new one and i thought i had to start again, then i noticed you can easily get the saved game and put it in your own directory and works perfect just as it was yours in the first place, you can even change you name to what ever you want and works like normall, its rather ridiculous that they havnt tried to stop people doing this

as in a phew weeks or months you will see people putting there top ranked players on certain sites which you can download, really puts a bite into your Ahole when you know people are doing this

rather earn my way up and be proud.

Theres a way to get to 55 instantly if you google it. Thats the reason theres no privelege or whatever it is for PC users. The Developers are aware of it, the method is actually on the official forums somewhere. Personally I preferred to level the fun way, plus you actually get ot know the strengths and weaknesses of kit. But if you get to 54 and lose all your gear, its useful.

i may have to do that. I was level 53 yesterday until i installed winxp on another disk as vista 64 was going t!ts up.
Being a lazy begger i decide i would run my version from vista to save me from installing were i got the lovely message that my stats had been reset.
