CoD5 Problem

I know there's a huuuge Cod5 thread already , but i need help

" Unable to create online MP profile "

Tried everything yesterday - firewall settings , router ports , patched , reinstalled , swearing , witchcraft - NOTHING !

Installs fine , runs single player fine , but won't connect online.

Seems this problem is not unique to me , its reported on other forums.

Any ideas ?

Same problem for me.. I think the servers are maxed out.

BTW I'm running Vista 64 Ultimate. I don't think that is an issue.

Server seems to be down. I am sure it will be back soon

Don't hold your breath, master server has been down all day. No word from Activision and no-one can play.

You can still play. Some servers still work

the master server has been down since 13.25 or so today

the only servers still running are cracked ones that don't require to authenticate with the master server. i am annoyed as i only started playing yesterday and was really getting into it. this is a pr disaster for them.

This is why games with master servers are annoying. One fault at their end and none of us can play a game which has no real reason for requiring a master server.

It's pretty carp, but isn't the master server needed to store the stats i.e everybody's level etc? Which is probably the reason people play this game.

The most annoying thing was i lost all my rank/stats/classes during the server outage.
Seems im not alone in that the CallofDuty forums has many a player who is now back to lvl 1. At least i wasnt like some who had got up the high 40's and now back to lvl 1.

Still once my bells palsey clears up again and the migraines go away i can have another bash at the game.

If they were going to have an outage and reset levels they should have reset everyone - at least that would have cancelled out the head-start the US players got last week.
