Why would they bother? Extra development, less control and they know PC players will buy it anyway.

Personally I hope MOH takes the lead in this genre
and I can consider COD4 the last IW game I ever play.

??? I was under the impression the code for dedi servers was already there, so I'm sure it would not be that much more effort to implement it.

+ they will have the dedi code from cod:waw, just hope Activision do not force them to use a simular version to IWNet + they make a decent game for once :p

Actually looking forwards to a good Vietnam game for ages. Personally, I think it's a terrific setting for a game.

Quoted as taking it's inspiration from Apocalypse Now and Platoon.

iwnet is there to push map packs, they are not going to release dedicated servers - ever, unless the brown smelly stuff hits the fan, then if it did they would just drop the PC which is precisely what they want to do tbh.

I wont be buying another COD game ever again. I gave them the benefit and hoped COD6 wasnt going to be as bad as I expected, it was worse. COD on PC is dead.
 
Same gave them the benefit of the doubt with MW2 despite what I'd heard... and its unbelievable how badly they've messed it up despite having a great core game... and no PC gamer is going to buy map packs.
 
CoD is only played these days because of some unknown hype that gets generated for every release. Modern Warfare was a good game, it should've been a great game except it had no balance and was clearly aimed at console gamers with an attention span just long enough to handle instant respawn and grenade spam with a sprinkling of the most lame, unbalanced 'killing spree' benefits ever contrived.

But as they proved with MW2, there are enough of these idiots on the pc to continue funding it, never mind the consoles, prepared to pay extremely high prices for a mediocre game.
 
Dont worry guys, cod is dead. We still got Medal of Honour to look forward to.

Any romours about upcoming Valve games? Counter-strike 2? Day of Defeat 2? Team Fortress 3?

Valve are truly the HEROES of the PC gaming market and long may that remain.
