Code Brown - Noctua Holyness

Thanks, appreciated. I already went with a Silverstone Hela 850R though. It looks like it shouldn't be too much of a problem to re-cable and I think it was on offer....which was the clincher! :D It's not seen the inside of a case yet though, just sitting next to a M/B box with a running system on top of it  Currently I'm stuck waiting on a big lump of steel to arrive so I can make res ends...but Evri seem to have lost it.

That's a beautiful psu tbh, love the casing design on the fan grill. Can't really go wrong with Silverstone either, top tier brand imo!

Bet you're eager to get started with it haha! Has your big lump of steel arrived yet? :p

Wow that is nuts! Amazing.

Thanks dude! Working on the watercooling side of it now, so should hopefully have that up within the next few weeks!

Thermal Grizzly have kindly sent over a big bunch of fittings for me to play with so will showcase those in this build :D

Eager to get on with this part but procrastinating like hell on designing the acrylic distroplate come reservoir mount come whatever else I try to bake into it! Once designed, I need to work out how to run a 12 foot CNC router that I can use if I drive to it and it isn't already being used. Think it's currently doing things like MDF so it might be 'fun'!
100mm steel round bar still AWOL. Just chased it up again but wondering whether it's something that I'll have to refund and find elsewhere for higher cost.

How's it going?! Did everything turn up in the end?

I love this! Noctua make amazing products and there is something special about the brown theme.

I'm also very excited to receive the new G2 Chromax stuff! The brown is great but i do like to mix and match sometimes too! :D

So i've been busy raising my baby but somehow managing to find time to build this still!

I've gone through a few variations and iterations but ended up sticking with this default mount to fit the largest radiator i could get my hands on. A huge 420mm 50mm thick radiator with 3 x Noctua NF-A14x25mm Fans attached for some pretty impressive CPU only cooling. It's probably overkill but heyho!

Also found some time to do abit more 3D designing so i created a custom mounting bracket to attached Thermalright's Trofeo LCD screen to the side.

Custom cables next to finish the project off!

Bad and yes. Bad because I've picked up either flu or covid and either sucks. I did get the steel in the end and it's quite a beast. Evri must have been surprised by the heft of it, dropped it and taken a chunk out of it but I can lose that in the machining. Pic here. I'm thinking I'll wait for the Christmas break before I start trying to turn that steel - definitely not something to be done with the sneezes!

Edit: Sorry, heads just not working at the moment. Bracket for the screen looks good. A Noctua coloured rad eh? You've either lucked out there or done a great job colour-matching and spraying it. Nice.

QuietPC are brilliant, they’re about 25 mins drive away from me. Not quite what you’d expect (Being on a farm) but a brilliant team.
