Codemasters announced today that Colin McRae: DiRT™2, the sequel to the acclaimed best-selling off-road racer of 2007, is now in development at Codemasters Studios. Below is the press release with the announcement along with the first images featuring "target visuals:"

Buggy? Never had a problem at all with bugs in the first DiRT.

The game did get a bit boring though, not enough variation in the tracks.

I hope they get back to the older days of the early Colin Mcraes, with great, realistic handling, and graphics. The HDR on everything makes it look fake, and the only thing that put me off the game was the handling. I loved the cars, the variation, everything, but the handling was a game-killer for me, could not enjoy it..

I was going to say the same. I've never had a problem with the buggys in DiRT either.

This is good news, I never finished the first so it might motivate me to do so

Im crap at racing games and got stuck about half way through

Never found the game the slightest bit buggy either

To let the memory of him live on, the family/his will obviously gave permission to carry on making the series.
