Codemasters "DiRT, and severe Jerkiness on "GTX8800"

Strange, quite playable on mine even with other cars (4400x2@ 2.7ghz, 8800GT @ 700mhz) There's a util you can use to disable HDR, I find it OTT.

Wheel sensitivity seems a bit much, any recommendations what to set it to with G25?

I had huge problems with my wheel in DiRT. In Toca 3RD, my Logitech Formula Force works beautifully, but i could not get it working properly in DiRT. I am at work at the mo, but i am sure it was the LINEAR setting on the wheel which got it working much better.

You may know this, but the LINEAR setting apperently controls the relationship between the amount of movement on the steering wheel, and the game itself. This is different to sensitivity and saturation. LINEAR setting allows the adjustment of how a % of the wheels movement is used by the game. By default, DiRT went lock to lock on my wheel from 10 o`clock to 2 o`clock. Which explained why i kept spinning so easily.:D

Thought Dirt was pretty average on PC at least, and why the hell did they get rid of Colin for that bloody annoying american commentator who just gets right on my ****

Another Big up for Sega Rally which can be bought for less than a tenner at a well known games retailer.

well Colin Mcrae did die in a helicopter crash but im not sure if that had anything to do with it.

But Dirt was out a long time before he died.. But agreed that american commentator is the only let down in the game.

Just completed Dirt this morning and it's ace, for me Sega rally can't even be remotely compared with Dirt as they are very different games. If arcade type racing game is your thing then Sega rally is perfect for you.
