Yes, my gf ran a caffe some time back and there was this guy who came in every single morning for coffee. What's the big deal, you may ask ?! Well, no big deal if he got his coffee, paid and exited.......he actually ordered 2 expresso coffees, drank one, left the other there on the counter, paid both coffees and left the caffe. This was every single morning !!! What do you good folk make of it ?!:):)

Probably wanted to take advantage of the buy one, get one half price offer. No point in wasting such a good deal.

It's tradition in some towns in Southern Italy, relates to a Roman Catholic saint, the coffee is dedicated to someone they've recently lost and they appeal to the saint to guide their loved one into the next life. She should allow them to leave the coffee there for the duration of their time in the store, if you go into some cafe's in Italy you'll see a few cups/mugs filled with coffee at the end of the counter, sometimes accompanied with a single candle or some small photos of loved ones. If you are interested in learning more about this phenomenon then you should realise that this is GD and I just created that story.

we're not up on Australian customs - as suggested, one for the person who did not make the voyage ?
or, covert signalling from a GRU member.
