hi all, ive just brought a perculator i think they are called from ikea. im new to making coffee in this way and im not sure what filter coffee to buy as there are so many!

anyone mind recommending me one or 2? :)

Lavazza Espresso (the black packet) is the one for me, but if you prefer it milder go for something colombian.

Best to avoid the urge to drink the entire pot by yourself !

I am now at work and have forgotten to bring some coffee in. Arses.

As for a good filter, Tesco do a coffee whose name I forget but it is in a vacuum packed gold block and is an Italian producer. It is an excellent coffee.

Alternatively, you can get a kilo bag of beans from Costco, San Francisco Bay, which is a very good coffee if ground coursely.

Just had my morning coffee here and realised that I have no fresh ground for the french press. Double arses, instant for me.

Kenya Peaberry is lovely from Whittards, OP.

I grabbed a pack of Colombian mild (green pack) from Tescos on the way to work a week or so ago (thats all the change I had on me when I remembered I had no coffee!) and have to say its one of the better coffees I have had for a good while.

Might have a look at some of their other types as well now.
