coke zero v diet coke

Both leave you with insulin running through your body but with no sugar to eliminate. A study was conducted in USA which found conclusive evidence that if you drink enough (lots and lots) diet coke there's a high chance you'll start to experience the symptoms of MS due to the aspartame.

Drink water.

Diet Coke is not a diet product! It is a chemically altered, multiple Sodium (salt) and Aspartame containing product that actually makes you crave carbohydrates. It is therefore, far more likely to escalate weight gain!

These products also actually contain formaldehyde, which subtly accumulates in fat cells. In women particularly, gradually over time, the result can visibly 'pad out' the outer hips and thighs. Formaldehyde is an absolute toxin and is used primarily to preserve animal and human tissue specimens.

I think the simplest way to look at it is like this...

If Diet Coke had never been made and was to be invented right now, it would taste like Coke Zero.

Diet Coke was their attempt at making a sugar-free 'healthier' drink. It was presumably drunk more so by women, which is why they've always marketed it more so to them. You obviously don't want to scrap the brand when it sells, so Coke Zero represents their ability to create a Diet drink which tastes much closer to the real sugar version. No point marketing that to women who drink diet coke, which is why they've gone down the 'manly man' route, much like Pepsi Max.

Don't suppose you have the source to hand do you?

They both taste horrible, and they both use synthetic sweeteners which probably do more harm than sugar/glucose..

Fizzy drinks give you gout... I much rather drink Ribena.. If only they sold it this side of the pond... Oh how much i miss my ribena :(

I prefer the taste of diet coke to coke zero. That it's sugar free is an added bonus - i couldn't care less about aspartamine. Everything gets linked to ill health so I'll be sticking to anything in moderation. Except tea.

i don't understand why they don't bring out a coke half or something like that with say half the amount of sugar in then normal so you get some of the good taste but it's better for you.

aspartame is a *****, i first heard about it a year ago and was so shocked at how much stuff that it's in. so many squashes, lemonades, tango, fanta (iirc) that aren't diet that still contain it!

I switched to Coke Zero from regular not long after it came out, (that makes it sound like I drink a lot of it but I maybe only have one can a day), as it tasted reasonably close to normal Coke. Now though I can't really drink normal Coke as I find it to be to sweet to me.

Diet Coke tastes awful though .... just plain bad ...

I always thought Diet Coke was marketed to women
and Coke Zero was brought at to aim at men who won't buy things with diet on the label.

that is true

Coke Zero was marketed as "bloke coke" - Source

Diet Coke has always been marketed as a womans drink with the Diet Coke Break adverts.

But the taste differences regarding new coke and classic coke etc.. are true too.
