coke zero v diet coke

Aspartame is not healthier than sugar, its actually worse and should only be consumed if you are on a weight loss plan or diabetic.

Legalisation of Aspartame was strongly disadvised by major nutritional and health boards, but it was still passed during the Bush administration of the USA, likely because coca cola paid them billions to do so.

diet coke tastes hideous but i've got used to the taste of coke zero now - its much closer to full fat coke.
pepsi is just crap - i don't know how anybody can drink that stuff - i'd rather have panda cola.

Prove it.

.

Load of rubbish, there is little or no evidence to show adverse affects. Unless you include research done on rats with quantiles hundreds of times more than a coca cola addict would consume.

It's quite simple.

Diet Coke has clear grip on the female market, and as a result has some stigma attached to it by men.

With the recent health promotion going on in the UK, Coke needed something that appealed to men on a dieting level, as they weren't buying diet coke. But it also needed to be different enough from diet coke to have its own brand.

Thus Coke Zero was born, which means that diet coke can now be directly marketed for women, and Zero for men. Which is why you only see Zero adverts at football matches or during the Grand Prix, and why diet coke adverts are about women in offices.

It's just marketing, nothing more. They made them taste different so people didn't call them the same thing with different labels.

I always thought Diet Coke was marketed to women.

Nope I've seen the adverts, it's always a ripped man with his shirt off drinking Diet Coke. Women clearly want to see a man drink diet coke ;)

Never ever seen this stigma or grip on the female market claimed on here for diet coke, infact I don't know many people that even drink the full fat varieties.

After drinking it for a few weeks I could then never go back to drinking the full sugar paint stripper. Not that I drink that much of these days, I prefer water or a juice.

Diet coke tastes awful to me... like it's been watered down.

Coke Zero is acceptable if nothing else is attainable, but I prefer Pepsi Max of all the "sugar free" variations.

i can't imagine it beating diet coke, tis the drink of the gods. pepsi max is only nice from fast food places, i don't like it in cans/bottles

I haven't drunk more than a glass of diet coke in 8 months went cold turkey and started on water. Now tbh I couldn't actually drink a whole can of it I realise now how bad it tastes (I used to drink a can or two per day...) :(

I switched to Coke Zero from regular not long after it came out, (that makes it sound like I drink a lot of it but I maybe only have one can a day), as it tasted reasonably close to normal Coke. Now though I can't really drink normal Coke as I find it to be to sweet to me.

Diet Coke tastes awful though .... just plain bad ...

Same here. Although I still drink normal depending on where I go, as some places dont have zero :(

Aspartame is bad for your gut, it plays havoc with my IBS, this I can tell you from personal experience.

Whichever one happens to be in the glass with my Morgan's Spiced Rum.

Currently, however, Pepsi Max is doing it. I think the difference between Diet Coke and Coke Zero is the same between Diet Pepsi and Pepsi Max - marketing.

This. My fave fizzy drink. I'll drink Coke Zero if I can't buy Diet Coke. Which is usually the case when I try to buy a can/bottle from a vending machine, Diet Coke is usually sold out! I'm not really sure its a girly drink, even though the ads on the telly seem to portray it as one.

They taste TOTALLY different - so how can the only difference be marketing?
