X38-DQ6 motherboard.

Overclocked an e5300 to 4ghz easy enough. 1.375v in bios 1.344v (cpu-z) after vdrop/vdroop.

Overclock itself is rock solid (cpu/ram fine). However, after PC has been off and cooled town, it goes into a reboot cycle before fail-safe settings are selected and it boots fine. I then have to reload my settings and reboot to get the overclock.

Any ideas? Thanks.

I didn't get this on previous chips I've used e8400/q9300/q9550.

Definitely stable. Wouldn't a CMOS problem cause it to go for default settings straight away?
