cold calling

hi all,

Day off today, thought id have a lie in and relax all day but ive had 8 people banging on my door for various stupid reason and tbh, its really getting on my nerves.

Im not sure if im going mad but im sure there was a sign you could buy, it was a picture of the "Your contry needs you" finger pointing soldier but it had "NO COLD CALLERS" along the top and "THIS MEANS YOU!" underneath.

Anyone know if a) im making it up and b) if its real, where can i get it from?

I made my own sign.
"NO SALESMEN
CATALOGUES WILL BE DESTROYED"

Or answer the door nekkid and pretend your deaf, while making obscene sign language type gestures at them.

funny, but one of the callers was a 8 year old girl and her friend picking up a catalogue. i would have expected the police around shortly after

Before all of the keyboard warriors etc jump in and tell you how they shout at callers, slam doors in faces, dress up etc.
Don't buy a sign, simply make one.
We used one of those Dymo label makers and made a label saying "No cold calling. We do not buy from the doorstep".
Since we made this sign we've had one Avon lady knock and ask us if we were interested (as it happened the wife was, so that wasn't too bad) and that is about it.

Ive 2 dogs, who although as soft as a brush are very loud when someone comes to the door which means i rarely have to answer it but it means i cant sleep in.

I have thought about making one but id prefer the "your country needs you sign!"
