Is it ok to make a donation now? I would have done earlier but I've had to wait for a new card to come through to register with my Nochex account, and I've had to wait to register it etc.

It is indeed.

All those that wish to make a donation can definitely still do so. If someone wants to do something as good as giving in this manner I'm not going to stop them.

There'll be a point where I give the money over to either Steve or the Trust themselves, whichever we decide, but donations can still be made past that point as long as you let me know the account is about to receive funds.

Gilly when you have finished the collection I will pm you the bank details that I set up for this purpose which already has a lot of money in it for the T.C.T then I will withdraw approx £700 to pay for the plot where Zoltan (Darren) is to be interned at 14.15 hrs on wednesday 13/10/04 the remainder of the money will be presented to the T.C.T at the U.C.L.H Middlesex hospital in Darrens name as a memorial in his memory which will be hang on the wall in the ward where he died for every one to see I will also post pic when done.

Were there ever any pictures of the lad? - I have an image in my head, but thats it.

Sorry mate, missed this.

The total stands at approx. 2k. We've not had many payments at all since the RR. I think the breakdown is something like:

#1269 in the bank account
#700 in Nochex/Paypal (still awaiting Paypal's payment to go through - they're v. slow)
#100 by cheque through the mail
#178 in cash from the RR
 
Wow, that really is pretty magical stuff Gilly. Makes you feel good to be part of the forum. A very good effort all round.

Looking at those pictures of Darren I remember having some post conversations with him when recovering from cancer the first time round. - bit of a shock to find out that it was him.

I am sure he is at peace now. God bless you mate.

I still haven't got the money from paypal, but the nochex was transferred pretty much straight away - I'll cover the paypal npnp :)

so I'd imagine it will be in your account first thing monday, total was £711 just for the record :)
