I've just booked a last minute trip to Colombia. Flying out on Sunday for 12 days.
I know very little about it, but flying into Bogotá and out of Cartagena.

Anyone been, any tips? Feel like I'll do Bogota - Medellin - beaches ( Tayrona National Park?) - Cartagena.

Obviously I'll research this week but welcome any tips! I like good food (fine dining and street food, good drinks, bit of nature, live music and just experiencing new stuff).

I have only been to Bogota and Medellin. Bogota isn't much to see, it's quite high up too. Some parts can be dangrous. Dont stay in La Candelaria which is where a lot of people stay for some reason.
Medellin is totally overrated imo. Looks great from a distance but it suffers from overtourism and apparently non touristy parts can be dangerous.

There for the beaches or for the ladies?
I mean, I'm recently single and I do want to lie on a beach for a few days....

I've decided to all but skip Bogota (bar one evening when I arrive) and booked a 3 day Amazon tour from Leticia. Then will fly to Medellin for 4 or 5 days and then up to Cartagena for 4 or 5 days and head east to the beaches.
