I'm going to buy some beech coloured Unika Colorfill to seal the joint on my kitchen laminated worktop.

It comes as a tube of compound with a small bottle of solvent for £8 at B&Q.

Or just the tube for £5 at builders depot.

My question is, do I need to buy the one with the solvent? I'm meant to apply compound, remove excess with a spatula, leave for 5 minutes, then wipe away excess with the solvent.
Apparently nail varnish remover works just as good but I don't have any. I do have loads of Isopropyl Alcohol though. Do you think IPA would work just as well?
