Ok, as promised, here are some pictures.
But, consider the first image. The truck is an 07 reg which has done 317223 Miles (not KM!) when it was photographed by me today and has hardly had a pampered life compared to even a neglected car. In other words, I can't honestly see a wrapped car looking any where near as "bad". Whilst Stobart indeed take care of their fleet, the trucks are double shifted, run 24/7 and invariably pick up scrapes & scratches that most cars would not.
a lot of the pictures have what may look like bubbles, they are infact water droplets as I gave the truck a quick wash off prior to taking the photo's as it was filthy! The only "bubbles" I could find are mentioned in a picture below.
The wrap has not peeled away on any of the major panels, just scuff & scrape damage.
This is the only "bubbles" I could find on the truck, very slight, but they are there (in the "crease") if you look closely.
In these two pictures, you'll notice the wrap has come away quite badly. This is due to the panel that holds the number plate on Scanias being not quite smooth, thus air bubbles are more or less impossible to eradicate and over time, the pressure washer takes its toll.
I think this problem would arise with any wrapped surface that was not smooth to the touch? Hey! I'm no expert!
I have included this 08 reg as an example of the above, its "only" done 100k yet the number plate area is already starting to give, the rest of it is perfect.
Quite a few swirl marks here in this "night shot" - not that my camera shows them tbh - , again, consider the age & miles and how many times its been brush washed!
Overall, impressive I think.
Hope this helps - I got some weird looks at work taking these pics!
