Colours

I liked the stock Black and Blue on my case, but it is nice to change things from stock, so thats why I went from Black+Blue to the Black+Red.

Its not seen as often these days as Blue LEDs seem to be all the rage :)

I have black case, monitor, keyboard, mouse, speakers, amp, phone...

Anything with lights has bright blue.

I think it just looks better. As there are certain things which just tend to be black (My amp, monitor, keyboard and mouse are only available in black) it just fits if you have everything else in black too.

I might get a P180 for my next case - was thinking of finding a blue LED fan to go at the front to shine through the grill around the door. Think it would look cool.

Cant find a decent one though, thought about the http://www.overclockers.co.uk/acatalog/Akasa_Fans.html also but can't tell if the fan is just amber coloured or has amber LEDs.. a google search makes it look like its just the fins are amber coloured, which wouldn't give off a great amount of light?

I am going to get a black Coolermaster Praetorian 732. Not sure if a side window is availble for it though? If so, be some nice Blue cathodes going in it.

I have a pink LED here :D

I often find the blues too piercing (the pink is the same). I prefer diffused LEDs, usually diffused green LEDs are used in keyboards, they are still bright enough and can be seen from all angles, but don't hurt your eyes when viewed striaght on. I agree about colour matching, usually keeping the same lighting colours throughout looks neatest.

i think silver cases need strong colours if lights are going to be used, something that contrasts, not white. however with black everything contrasts, therefore works :D .

i have 3 black cases and 2 silver ones, the blacks look far sleeker

I thinking of making my case match my car! So its a dark silver body, black roof, black wing mirrors and centre mounted twin exhausts :D
Then the LEDs will have to all go orange to match the dash lighting
