Combat squirrel's new 8800GTX and GTS overclocks in here! DATABASE Thread

will want to know rest of system configurations, so you would have to add, cpu, ram, board, etc

I suppose, yet they are constants, not variables (like the overclock) therefore would be irrelevant to the test.

Its people's curiosity that would cause people to state system specs (If they arent already in their sigs)

Just an idea

Core Speed/Mem Speed: 637/2000
O/C Software: ATI Tool
O/S: Windows XP
Drv Version:Forceware 97.92
Cooling: Stock

This was max stable overclock. However I have backed off to 600/1900 for day-to-day use as this is enough to get me 10K in 3DMark06.

Core Speed/Mem Speed: 652Mhz / 1.8Ghz (Tested speed will test higher)
O/C Software: RivaTuner + NTune
O/S: Windows XP MCE 2005
Drv Version: 97.79
Cooling: Stock Air Cooler

My card will definately clock higher on both the core and the memory :D just ahvent had time to test yet!

Updated, pattern is just about starting to emerge now

GTX cards seem to ~ 640 ish on the core ~ 2ghz ish on the ram

GTS cards seem to ~ 630 ish on the core ~ 1.95ghz ish on the ram

Everyone add more :D then we can get a more accurate estimate of roughly how far these cards will clock :)

This is as high as I am at the moment, 660/2000. I think it will go higher, as it bench at that without a hickup, OR the fan needing to be increased. I wouldnt be surprised if I got it to 670 on the Core or something.

I reckon if you change your clocks ,just repost clocks only, then ill know if there are 2 user names in me excel table :)

As in the whole post would be:

'650/2000'

for example, no sentences or anything like that, there we go, a system! :)

EDIT: Updated and corrected :)

So this is where I am from a couple of 3DMark runs.......and it seemed so easy ! I am wondering how to really test the stability of these settings.....what are you guys doing ?

The way I see it, this 'less-than-£350-cost' GTX is an absolute belter.....can it really clock this well (+13% core, +9% RAM) with so little effort  :D
