We recently got a new condenser unit fitted at home and now noticed that the hot water is always running cloudy... is this normal?

Anyone elses do this too?

Yip sorry, thats what i mean.

Anything we can treat the water with? It just looks all limey. Every tap is the same too.

I assume that as it's a condensing it works from the mains cold water supply(no tank).

As such I would expect to see the cold water supply show the same problem.

Does it?

If it is only in the hot water output then there must be a contaminant within the boiler piping.

Get you corgi registered plumber out to look at it.

N.B. I'm not a plumber just expressing my thoughts.

Me thinks folks are getting very confused between condensing and combination boilers.

Sounds to me like youve got a nice new condensing combination boiler fitted.

The DHW (domestic hot water) is cloudy because the combi is directly warming up mains cold water as it passes thru the boiler, on its way to your taps. This causes millions of tiny air bubbles, ie: cloudy water.

Its not contaminated, or anything like that, and will be more apparent if you run the hot tap slowly.

Stick it in a glass and watch it clear, to see for yourself :)

Thats exactly whats happening at my inlaws where i'm staying now. First time i've stayed anywhere with a combi. I'd run a hot bath and for half a minute or so think the water was dirty. It settles and is clear. Made me double take the first time.
