Maybe someone can help me with this. So i recently needed a new microwave and purchased this https://www.sharphome.eu/eu-en/R861SLM after some great reviews and features (Managed to get a stonking deal as well) The question may be a simple "Dont be silly" but can i use foil in it when used in the oven mode? The reason i ask is i have got a nice Lasagne and was going to cook it but thought i could give it a go in the microwave but it has a foil tray. I have looked in the manual and under precautions it says about not using metal/foil but i cant find if that is just while using the microwave.

You can use foil in oven/grill mode but not microwave/combi mode

(Some have a combi mode = microwave + oven/grill mode)

wouldn't you just get a ceramic/glass container and transplants the lasgane - if it's going to be a regular thing.

the combi panasonic folks have has a shallow metal tray to protect from shatteriing the glass plate when in combo mode, presumably beneath the microwaves level.

As above..in oven or grill mode, metal is fine.

Some combi microwave modes can use a combination of microwave and oven feature..so be aware of that... but if you are only using the grill or oven feature, it doesn't matter.

If in doubt RTFM. :D
