NOT WITH RAID....
i have two 1TB hard drives. i want to make them look like one hard drive to the user.
my OS is stored on a separate drive.
I tried to extend the the volume of one of the TB drives by using the other. to give me something along the line of a 2TB drive. Vista dint like me doing this saying it doesn't support dynamic discs.
I know widows home server uses a method of distributing data across mutable physical drives. this is exactly this thing I want. the idea is if one drive dies I only lose 1/2 the data.
if i used raid0 I would lose all of it.
I don't mind a performance hit.
os is vista HP 64bit
any ideas?? ta
