Ive got the black one very good unit if a little temperamental when the probes get a little too cold

depends on your setup, in my 810 ive got 2 cpu fans 2 140 case fans 3 140 top case fans and 1 more 140 back and bottom all of which are 3 pin. With all these running at full tilt it gets loud, this unit allows me to run them at varied speeds either manually or automatically

yeh ive got 2 * 200mm fans ontop, 2 120mm fans on the side, 1 120mm fan on rear 120 radiator, 1 * 140mm intake fan on the front, 3 * 120mm fans on 360mm rad.

i might get 1 then as like you say gets loud when there all on full

Are these only able to auto-control fans based on probe temps or can you use system temps?

Looks great in white, if they can detect system temps I'll definitely be putting one into my Phantom.

Are they compatible with the BitFenix Colossus Windowed's 230mm fans, which in my experience haven't worked with controllers that require three-pin fan connections (even though they are 3-wire fans)?
