Well I was going to say it only gets 77 fps @1080p in Crysis proving what a buggy game that is...but then I saw it was the exact same score for the 290x and realised it just hasnt had xfire profiles updated yet :D

Yeah sure they can!! We had four gpu working in the office very well yesterday. Scaling is awesome. On launch day I have some plans for these beauties.

It's expensive yes but the value isn't 'that bad', considering what it cost to buy and watercool two 290's, there's also value in the fact it's all on one board, full fat 290x's with warranty, pre-overclocked and there's got to be cots AMD need to recoup on engineering and designing such a card, we take it for granted that AMD/Nvidia produce these cards but if it were that easy to design and build they would come out a lot sooner in the products life cycle.

Cost to WC two 290s:

290 @ £300
290 @ £300
wc block @ £80
wc block @ £80
Rest of your WC components ~£200

So it would cost ~£960 to properly watercool 2x 290s, to do 2x 290x would be closer to £1050 if not £1100.

You have to factor in the fact that these (295s) still get up to 70c and will likely go higher once overvolted, thats pretty poor imo. All AMD have done here is put a crappy AIO cooler on the gpu, anyone could do that with a cheap Corsair H60 or similar.

Proper watercooling would keep this 295 at or below 50C even when overvolted. Factoring in the cost of a dual gpu waterblock, if they will even exist, your looking at at least £900 for the gpu then another £150 for that block, or worse. To properly WC a 295 I think youd be looking at over £1500.

No thanks, I think 2x gtx 780/ti would be much more wise choice personally.

Edit: Also NV and AMD dont produce and release gpus as fast as they can, they release them at extortionate prices and then once sales start dipping they release a 'new' gpu that has probably been sat in a warehouse for months again at extortionate prices. Repeat.

cant wait too see the titan z flop lol

The cooler is actually pretty effective, Not custom cooler effective but still good. Not that noisy either and temps are kept under check.

We have prices yeah but cant release that stuff.

The cards are very good to be honest so smooth. All my testing so far has been positive.

Does it get the 8pack stamp of approval?

The thing I just noticed and what puts me off is that they've dropped back down to 1 DVI port.
I really hate using the adaptors and my current monitors don't have DP.

Not that I'd have gotten one even if they had 2 DVIs, but would be a little more likely.

Can't see this thing costing much under £1000, it's def gonna be at least £900 since it performs just as good if not better than 780ti sli and they still cost best part of 500 quid.

My money goes on it costing a grand.

Wow! I had to stretch my budget significantly to get a used 280x. £900 quid for a graphics card is more than I could ever imagine spending. That's probably more than my entire next PC will cost, god that's even more than my car costs :(
