COMING SOON.................

Have they had to watercool this because of the heat?

Big air coolers would be capable of cooling it but they would be fairly large and heavy and wont help get the heat out of the case, which would turn into a big problem after an extended period of time.

At least with this radiator they can effectively direct the heat towards the outside of the case without an insanely loud blower.

It's definitely more efficient than air cooling, but most folks paying the expected ball park figure won't be wanting a puny 120mm rad on their exhaust IMO. Those of us who dream of owning it but never will...different kettle and would just be pleased with the grunt. Without sounding high and mighty though, I find it hard not to describe their hybrid solution as anything other than half way rubbish, when the performance is definitely there.

Do you have a source for that or just guessing?

I have the source, but i have no idea what the shipping cost would be and whether it would get through customs without UK VAT slapped on top, sometimes i get lucky and sometimes i dont.

In the UK i doubt it.
Maybe will ask a friend of mine who works for Microsoft to buy it on my behalf and send it to me under the disguise of a present :)

Surely this would have to come in sub £1k? £999 is my betting...

With reference to the coolers... Mmmmm... interesting they've gone this way... I've got 2x7990's running standard on air... and yeah they heat up, however, full chat left for 30 minutes looping Heaven and they don't go above 88C is the highest I've seen... granted I did the volt mod... and I've taken the voltage down to 1.125v from 1.200v but it's 100% stable at this...

I am tempted by these, problem I have is, I can't be assed with mounting all that fan gubbins... just want to plug it in.... get it working... I have enough problems with drivers without having to cut my case apart... lol

However, they do look epic and agree, a RED polished fan like on the 7990's would've looked gorgeous with some braided hosing hahaha

Think you are spot on with the pricing. Conversion from $ to £ amd adding 20% tax brings it to around that level. Certainly can't see it being any less expensive.

Only the Tax needed to be added to the price i shown because the retail price was in pounds.
£1075 with VAT.
