Coming to the end of contract - flagship options?

My contract ends in December. So for the first time I can't see any compelling reason to upgrade. My Nexus 6 is still going strong.

I've googled around but nothing is taking my fancy. The Pixel XL is way over-priced for me, I don't fancy an S7 Edge. I was tempted by the Oneplus 3T but I'm not sure it's enough of an upgrade..

What do I do people? Is there anything on the horizon for me if I'm wanting a flagship device with a large screen?

If you're still happy with your N6 then i'd probably just wait a bit longer.

I've a OP3, but been interested in both the LG v20 and Xiaomi Mi Mix, but the LG ain't being sold here and i'm undecided on trying the Mix.

I think almost any flagship phone will end up as a downgrade on your screen size :D

What ever phone you get, make sure you get one that supports native WiFi calling and volte (lte band 20) which don't need carrier branded firmware.

The providers are pushing this technology at the moment and means you will not be Left behind.

Only 3 that I know of at moment is iphone, nexus and Samsung s7/Edge BTU

I'll come at it from a different angle. Is there anything you DON'T like about your current phone? And is there anything that you would particularly desire on a new phone?

Many moons ago I changed from a contract phone to SIM only deal and then buying a phone if/when I fancied/need one. I do this with the wife's phone/SIM now too. I've easily saved £100's over the last 2-3 years.

I much prefer the freedom now of being able to upgrade at anytime, being able to change SIM deal if I wanted. (I've not actually done this as I have a legacy 3 SIM only that will never be beaten though).

I'm in the same boat, have a Nexus 6 I love and nothing is taking my fancy. Although the Pixel XL is very tempting.

Same here. I have a Nexus 6 and wife has a Pixel XL. I'm gonna wait it out now for next years phones as nothing this year makes me want to replace my N6.
