Just played command and conquer 4...............WTF! How awful is this game! What the hell happened to command and conquer! DAMN YOU EA! Command and conquer has to be one of the best games ever! There is options for everyones needs! Whether your the type to go full on with hordes of troops and armor and completly waste your enemy! Or if you prefer to hide behind your base and build up defences and use your artillery and superweapons to anihilate your enemy. But C&C4? Are you serious? No base building, limited to 16 units, no superweapons and graphics are taking a cartoony base. When I say about the cartoony graphics, I know that Red Alert 3 has this (which is an awesome C&C!) it's just with the tiberium side of C&C you want it a bit more serious. Should have listened to the reviews not being higher than 1 star! To also think that this is the last C&C in the tiberium series! If I was EA I'd do a recall on the game, make up some BS saying yeah this was part of an intrigute survey clearly a bad one so therefore we will scrap this and bring a much better version of C&C! Has anyone else been playing this? Your thoughts?
 
no i listened to the people who were in the Beta and said pretty much the same thing as you have wrote. no point me wasting money on it.
 
You wouldn't buy a TV without reading a review, why would you buy a game without reading a review?

I was in the beta, it was rubbish. It's a poor version of CoH / DoW 2 without any of the benefits.

It was really down to me being a mass lover of C&C dince it first came out. I read reviews but I wanted to see it for myself.

There has been things in the past that have had bad reviews that I have disagreed with. Thought this might beone of them. All be it I was wrong:p
 
They too probably understand the crappyness of this game and don't think they should damage themselves any further! I still say it was better when C&C was done by westwood instead of EA sticking their ore in! :mad:
 
Just to prevent a thread going by about C&C4 without a mention of the DRM:

You thought the game was bad? The DRM is even worse!

Installed, played, and uninstalled this game in one afternoon.

cnc4 felt like a completely different game, cnc3 was OK, had a few annoying graphics tweaks, but the gameplay was good, so put up with it and grew to like it eventually.

COmpleted cnc3 but neevr play it, still play cnc2 to this day, played the chrono storm mission over and over again.. Even played both the final stages with opposite units using a trainer spawn tool.

CNC4 is just a completely different game, seems like they're trying to make it more mainstream and move away from startegy and make it more an adventure game, sort of. The war strategy element has been completely taken away from it.

Are there any other games that are more like cnc2 and cnc3?

I played axis and allies a long time ago, but I found it kinda easy
 
Tried the beta, but in my opinion it's not C&C without base building and proper resource management (harvesters, ore trucks et al.).
