Command & Conquer 4. UbiFail DRM.

I haven't heard anything about C&C4, so forgive me but...

What? What?! You mean it doesn't have those things? You're kidding me? C&C without bases and resources?

Ahahahahahahahhahahahahahaha! Wow, that's terrible.

That was my response, its not C+C without base building and resource gathering

Yep that's what happens when a game gets dumbed down, oops sorry, 'streamlined' to appeal to a broader user base.

The trouble is that there are millions of consumers who want these kinds of games.

I remember arguing with people back in the day who would only play through games with god-mode on. I said, "You're spoiling the game, what's the point?" They said, "It's fun and we just want to see all of the game." Then they'd go buy something else and god-mode through it.

Now back then games developers weren't targeting these kinds of players - they hadn't figured out what a lucrative market it was.

Today, it's well known. Devs churn out games that require little to no thought to play, but are extremely pretty and stylish. The god-mode crowd don't actually need cheats anymore - these new games largely play themselves.

And the masses keep voting with their wallets... they keep consuming this stuff and going back for more.

You really can't blame the so-called AAA studios for knowing how to make money.

The game has no LAN support too, if the allways on internet wouldnt have made that tricky enough anyway.

Make a **** game with **** DRM then blame pirates for lack of sales.
