Command & Conquer

Red Alert 2- best by a mile.
Just buy The First Decade. You can get it for about a tenner. it has all the command and conquer games except the Tiberium Wars games (which were crap imo anyway)

Red Alert 1.

It's free from the C&C website, but any of the ones on The First Decade are worth a shout.

can i get this first decade for digital download or on steam?

edit ill go check steam myself.. brb

Ok didn't find it is there any other games that isn't demanding on computers and is like command & conquer always sticked to C&C but thought i might venture out :D

I really should try the original again. I just couldn't get past 'Hammerfest base' or whatever it was called. Theres absolutely no way in, the Artillery just rapes you without even trying.

Tiberium Sun was decent but the lack of saving in skirmishes was annoying. Favourite was definitely RA2 w/ Yuri's.

All games on the first decade collection run on w7. But you have to run as administrator.
Shame they are not on steam, but i got it for £10 from a certain south american river;)

Red Alert 2 stands up very well, and the graphics don't look that bad now.

i still play red alert 2 with a mate online through hamachi:)

btw, the great thing about the early ones is that i've been playing them using my motherboards onboard gpu, as i'm waiting for a replacement. So they are pretty much the only games i can play atm, not that i'm complaining.

Can't even download them on my Mac! I've tried using Safari and Chrome and both are unable to install the Fileplanet download manager which means I can't download the game... ****ing stupid way of doing it. :(
