Advice appreciated on the above.
What dictates the ability to run a 1T versus 2T command rate.Is it the motherboard, the ram or a combination of both having to be capable within their build attributes?
I am looking at a new mobo having failed to get my Asus P5N32-SLI SE DELUXE to overclock beyond 3 gig (CPU E6700). Current favourite is the Abit AB9 Quad GT and I note one of the reviewers on the Overclockers web-site states that these are capable of running a 1T command rate.
I have the PC6400 OCZ Platinum Revision ram which I can't currently get to be stable in my current system when I try for a 1T command rate at its rated speed, ie 800 mhz at 4,4,4,15 with 2.0 voltage.
Is this a case of the ram not being good enough (capable) or mobo or combination of both not being up to the job? Also, does a 1T command rate make any difference in terms of gaming (specifically BF2) performance.
