Comments before I hit "Buy"

1 inisdent does not make them terribel psu's do you think an Enemax or seasonic has never gone wrong? Granted its a total **** up on corsairs part but it happens with all psu's. Quite depressing when you think one bad fault by a producer no matter how expensive it is and it kills your system.

Sorted out in a sence there is some which work i beleive. They can always been improved. But what other choise do you have? The only way round it is to pay 100 quid for a sound card and eve nthen they arn't as good in games as they dont have EAX which is supported by all games it seems and some how creative have made it so really you need them to get the perfect game sound. Really lame that they have managed to kill the competition and yet are so lacking in support.

I never once said they are "terrible PSU's" ??. Debatable is obviously "a wait and see" approach for any more reports to come in. In this time period I'd spend my money on other PSU manufacturers. Everyone is raving about Corsairs and recommending them left, right and centre but I will save judgement on them but that is my opinion. Otherwise they seem excellent PSU's with a great components, especially for a new player to the PSU game. I just want to see how it pans out, that's all.

If it was my choice I would spend the extra for my own peace of mind. £15 - £40 is not a lot of money also for getting the best heart for your PC :D.

So you got an ocz serposid quite psus :p id laugh so much if you replaced it with an enemax and it blew up after saying you would rather spend more to get a peice of mind .Of course then id feel bad :)

Corsair PSU’s haven’t been around long enough to warrant the amount of recommendation they have here. Go with a proven brand like Enermax, a bit dearer but you know you can’t go wrong.
In the case of the HX series they are Seasonic built which are already a proven brand so it isn't like recommending something with no basis :p

Reviews with the capability to decently test PSUs and reviewers who know their stuff also recommend them.

It's a borrowed component from a very good friend who upgraded to a 1200watt PSU for his SLI'd GTX's. He's putting the OCZ in his son's new system for xmas with a 8800GTX too. Not bad for a 9 year old hehe.

After my Thermaltake 560watt cut off 3 times when trying the 2900Pro for the first time I didn't have the money for a new PSU so my m8 gave me a loan.

Hopefully my next PSU won't blow anything up as I don't want to give you a roller-coaster ride of emotions :D.

Ok guys. I've taken the feedback you've given and come up with this:

I'll order it tomorrow so I get it on Tuesday hopefully. If you see any last minute changes I should make I'd like to know... ideally before tomorrow morning! :p

Thanks for your help again.
