The Synology box will allow me to serve files to my other deaktop and laptops via the wireless network, and also a print server so i can keep my prniter in a single location.

The Samsung SpinPoint is 500Gb, so would fulfill my size needs, given i have around 160Gb installed already.
whats peoples thoughts? the synology box is £153 and the HDD is on this week only special at £90.
that makes the package £243 before postage and i dont think i get a similarly sized NAS. i was thinking of the icybox stuff but they only act as a caddy, rather then basically a small linux PC.
does anyone have any experiance with the synology? could you tell me if its ok as a product?
